  • interior molding pics!!! opinions? *DUW*

sorry about the size of pics, and the slowness of the server they're hosted on...
okay. got them done finally. i like them. i'm doing the center part as well, just ran out of paint for the time being. everything but the cup holder, ash tray and cover, and shift boot will be done in silver as well. here we go...
this pic didn't come out well cuz of lighting, ,but it gets the pt accross...i am going to take the paint off the button though, so the camaro symbol doesnt stick out so much

make sure you get ALL the armorall off
    drivers side
    passenger's
and the best piece IMO, pass door...

                You suck!!!

Thats the same color I painted my interior, looks the same except I did the oposite on the doors. I'm likin the way you did it though. I'm probably gonna paint the defrost vents on the A-pillars too, been thinkin about the gauge bezel but that might be pushin it although I've seen it look good. I would like to see what your console looks like when finished. One thing to think of is if you paint the whole thing you'll have your seats, seat belts, rear passengers and various other things rubbing on it all the time. I can almost garuantee that between your seats and console there will be nothing left within a week. Not tryin to discourage you just lettin you know what I think. You might want to think about just the shifter area and maybe center console cover or go for the whole thing, no one looks between your seats any ways. What kind of paint is that? I used some spiffy metallic paint and it looks just like that.

Honest question - What the hell is the point of painting the interior? Am I the only one thinks it's EXTREMELY tacky?

Maybe it's just how I feel..but I just don't get why you'd want to ruin your interior like that..my .02 cents.

...or you can make it your only looks mod, and leave it at that
rather have a accented interior than GFX or a body kit, ,or ram air that doesnt work, ya know?

or better yet, i think 3.50 on a can of paint looks better than tacky rims...or fillins that you pay way too much for. see what i'm saying? i don't see why someone would have a sound system, or even make it look good. that's more tacky than a nice looking interior

Epic: What is it that you think doesn't look good? The whole look of it or the fact that it's paint? I've had nothing but compliments from friends and other F-body owners. And when it comes time to sell my car I'll either paint them black (or interior paint if it's around) or I'll go to the junk yard and buy new pieces for cheap. Try find someone around you with a painted interior and see what it looks like in person, then you might change your mind. Everyone has their own opinions though.
