  • How can I LOWER my A4 shifter knob

I was looking at it the other day and I dont want a boot or anything like that in the other post, what I want is to lower it like a manual would look like, it is too high, there is no reason for it to be that tall, it gets in the way of all the dash things.
I took the one apart on my Z24 before I sold it, it was a tube with the white plastic stick inside the optside was beveled to accept the clip to hold the knob on, what would I have to do to cut the medel and make a beveled edge so I can re-atach the handle and make sure the button still works?

Get a firebird T-Handle instead, theyre lower than the Camaro A4 handle.

Also, if youre an experienced welder, you could cut out a 1-2" section out of the shaft to lower it :D
