i thought some of you guys, especially the 97 camaro owners, would like this...i did it for about $80, of course if you don't have the sticker and light it'll be a lot cheaper. tell me what ya think; i personally think it makes the car look a lot sportier and less like like a 4-seater; part of that reason is because now it's only a two seater, heh.
i go to UT, right now i'm home for the summer in nacogdoches but will be back in austin in august. i got a good friend in austin with a firebird, so you should meet up with us sometime and go race or just hang out, or both.
thx guys, i appreciate it. heh, you have no idea how hard it is to find beige carpet that matches my interior in a small town. o well, my dash is black, so my friend and i decided that those were the only two colors that it could be. since we found the black, we went with it. someone else suggested that i change my trunk area carpet to black...that's a good idea, it'll make it look more flush (good enough word).
I have no back seats.....but mine was free ....well sorry it was 2$ for the torx wrench :D ....so thats just carboard?? and where'd you get that logo from, I might just get a camaro logo like that.....looks good...
ya, it's 3 layers of cardboard to make it sturdy. i had a pro sign place in town make it for me; it was about $46 and it was put on plexiglass that just bolts right down on the cardboard. well worth it i think.
thx a lot guys. ya, they had the plexi--that was all included in the $46. btw, the length (and width too) of that square is 17" if any of you are thinking of trying it yourself. it's about the perfect length to go on this thing and you still have some room for a light if ya want it.
not really. suprisingly, doing the cardboard takes a lot of time and patience. what we did first is just kind of guessed with one sheet of cardboard...(on this piece we first got a hanger and made it the shape of the hump in the middle and then traced it on the cardboard and cut that out). then i got about a 4" piece of cardboard about 4' long and traced the sides with a pencil and then cut it out on the cardboard (the big piece). the first "trial" piece you'll probably screw up on, it's really just to determine your measurements, but if it's ok, you can use it as one of your 3 layers.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
