Yes it is, it is suppost to prevent rock chips and bug guts from messing up the paint on the front end. I was just wondering if anyone had this installed on their car or know of someone who does and if it's worth getting.Check out my cardomain site!
My Car

send an email to the guy who runs www.waxstation.com
he visits a lot of car shows around here and he highly recomends the stuff. he doesnt sell it i dont believe, but he can give you a great testimonial and probably let you know where to get it at. he claims, i believe, that it was originally used on helicoptor rotors to keep them from getting torn up. pretty strong stuff i guess. all i know is he had it on his truck, and the truck looked really good.

I remember that some people had that stuff on their Trailblazers a while back and it was fine with the plastic front bumper. Shouldn't be a problem for the Camaro or Firebird.Black 2002 Camaro M5-SS takeoff muffler, B&M Ripper, K&N Filter, 35/20% tint, Infinity speakers, Viper alarm, perpetually breaking clutch return spring mod. 15.49@90.15
Pewter 2002 Firebird M5 (Dad\'s Car)

I have that kit for my Formula. Its a great product...BUT....there's one problem. It has too many slits in it. It looked pretty bad on my car because of all those slits so I took it off. I still have the pieces on the headlight doors and hood and it's great. Supposedly Invinca-Shield is working on a new design that would be one piece for the Firebirds and Trans Ams and it doesnt appear he's done that yet :( . I am told Expel offers a one piece kit and its suppose to be the same 3M product
Take a look at the pic. Its #6 that was looking so bad. You can see the ton of slits in it.

Don't you have a garage to work in?
Well, I got mine on Monday and installed the Nose and RT GFX piece yesterday. For the most part the nose fit pretty good, but some cutting was required since the sticker IS flast and the nose is not. So there is a vertical line from emblem to tip now.
Also, the GFX piece does not cover from tip to end. The rear of the sticker looks like it's for the part next to the wheel, but the frt of it fits the tip of the frt. So I placed the leading edge of the sticker at the tip of the gfx, but the rear had too much material!! On top of that a lot of extra material cuz of all the curves. I trimmed some of the top and bottom of the trailing edge. I also cut it into 2 separate pieces or else it WILL NOT fit.
$177 and you still need to cut it urself :rolleyes:1999 Pewter Camaro M5
Y87 Performance Package, Sport Appearance Package, Diamond Clears
Factory SS Hood, Free Ram Air Mod, Whisper Lid w/ K&N Air Filter
CarSound Cat 94009, B&B Tri-Flo w/ Quad Tips
BMR SFC, BMR STB, KVR Blank Rotors, Hawk HPS Pads
Black Painted Calipers w/ CAMARO Decal, 245/50 Dunlop SP Sport 5000
20% Rear 35% Side Tint, Red Reflective Inlays, Invincishield
Young girls avert their eyes, weak men tremble, Ford dealers faint.

wouldn't the cold affect the 3m plastic after i got it installed in the garuage? Invinca-shield was the cheapest place to get it. Some places wanted over 400$ for a complete kit! Tell me how the whole install goes. Whats the temp in your area?Check out my cardomain site!
My Car
