when you taped it off for spraying, and when you removed the tape, is there an 'overspray'? or some sort of leaking through to the other fabric?
thanks

Nope.I did mine the opposite.I have a '98 and I dyed the outsides black and left the middle grey. The only sucky thing is that when you're done the seat fabric is really "stiff" feeling. It has softened up over the past week though and I think they'll get back to the normal softness with some use.I'll have some pics up as soon as I get my driver's seat done on Tuesday.I put liitle chevy emblems on the headrests and on the middle of the rear seatback and now I have cool little chevy emblems on my seats For the cost, this mod is really cool.It just takes some courage to take a can of spraypaint to your interior

no leaking on mine either. make sure you cover everything (i mean, everything) that you don't want to be sprayed. spray doesn't go thru newspaper. the fabric was stiff in the beginning like Kevin said but is now back to normal (the driver's seat, at least) after 2 drag events.

Here are the pics after about 2 weeks. The fabric goes back to being soft after just 1 or 2 trips with someone sitting in the seats.I only found that out after I did the driver's seat yeasterday.Anyway, pics below:

I think I used about 7 cans of the paint on the entire enterior (I painted my floormats black too).It was definately a lot cheaper than getting an upholstery shop to do it.The little bowties are nothing but stickers stuck on the seat prior to painting. Then after the painting was over I simply pulled them off.I did go over them with white paint later though,to make it match my white-faced guages more.

The seats look great!! Do you know if they make this stuff in silver? I want to do my center part silver since I have the ebony seats. It will look good with my silver trim pieces I have painted. Let me know. Thanks.

I think they have it in a silver/greyish color.I'm not sure how it would turn out on the cloth though.Maybe you could buy one can an try it on an old shirt or something.GOod luck.

It says on the can to be careful about going from a dark color to a light color. It will probably take a lot of dye to get the seats right.Good luck.

Hmmm... I wonder if they make pewter... I sure damn hope so, cause if they do, I'm gonna get it!
EDIT: Hmm, I looked at Plasti-Kote's color chart (here) and they have a color called Mocha that might be close enough to pewter to use. Maybe I'll hitup Pep-Boys tomorrow!
