I am in the process of detailing my car. I have cleaned, claybared and am now in the process of taking off the Scratch and Swirl Remover. However, it is taking forever and not solidifying because of the like billion percent humidity. How long can I leave this crap on my car before it causes damage? I was thinking about waiting until morning? My other question is, would you wax a car, then polish it...or would you polish, then wax the car? Thanks guys.
Ed
I'v been in our barn for like 1.5 hours trying to get that stuff off, but it just smears...grrrrr....I'm just gonna take my chances and leave it on till morning to see if it is less humid...I hate this Indiana weather...
Thanks though for the Polish/Wax help.

Ok...I made it through this dilema.
I think I should first tell you what I did. I have a black 01 Formula that I just got, so I Claybared it, which went fine...then I did Meguires scratch and swirl remover(it is a black car afterall), and this stuff never solidified...so, after much frustration and a few hopless hours of my life, I gave up and said i'll get it in the morning. Luckily for me, at 430 am (HardCore Car Guy, lol) a cold front had passed through over night and the humidity went down...so I took off the stuff like normal. I then did Liquid Glass, then Pros Yellow wax. The car, needles to say, is gorgeous. I wish I had a digital camera, because I swear it would blow you away...if you cant tell...I'm really proud of how it turned out...the shine and, the reflection, the reflection is amazing.
Thanks for the help again though man...
If the humidity is persistent and you don't get lucky with a cold front...I'd say leave it on...a day or two of unsolidified wax cant hurt that bad, can it? Now if it goes on longer...I'd give in to some elbow grease, because getting that oily type stuff up is really a pain.
