• Firebird / Bird Between taillights..

Is there any way that you can replace the bird and the writing right between your taillights because mine is really starting to fade and it looks like crap..

    Thanks guys..

To take if off, try some Goo Gone and rub it really well if you're just trying to take it off. Then you can sand it down with a VERY fine grit sandpaper, and buff it with your favorite wax/polish to bring out the shine.

Gas or anything will take it off, the ***** is getting out the etching where that paint was.
The easyest, and best way to do this is to WET sand it down best you can and take it to a body shop and have them clear coat it to get the shine back. Its just a shot for them, might not even charge. If you want, even have them paint it black again first. The bad thing about that is, its probably gonna orange peel if you paint it.

Guess it depends much money you wanna put into a silly thing.Although i even clear coated mine after i put the decals on.

Batcave is a great guy, done stuff though him a few tymes...

I just did this on my Formula this weekend. It wasnt all that hard to do and only took about 30 minutes. Buy some 1500 or 2000 wet/dry sandpaper and some 3M fine cut Rubbing Compound. Wet sand the area..will take about maybe 20 minutes. The hardest part for me to get off was the outlines of the lettering. Anyway after you have it all gone then use the rubbing compound to shine it up . Rob Folsom made my decals. His email is folsom20@earthlink.net. His prices are very good and he's quick on shipping too :D I had originally had decals covering the original lettering but they were starting to peel and then never lined up right when I first applied them.

Here's two pics of what my tail filler looked like before, and after
