  • Taking off the emblems

Does anybody have any pics of a firebird with the front bird, side door firebird emblems and door moldings taken off? I think that would look pretty slick... i'm thinking about doing it in photo shop or just taking a hair dryer and some floss to it and just doing it....

The hair dryer works fine. Just pull with your fingers, not problem. Youll need some decal remover or something to get off all the goo you cant pick off. Its easy as hell.

I dont have pics of mine, but it looks a lot better.

I wouldnt do the front bird though, my thoughts.

get a hairdryer or better yet a heat gun. Get them nice and warmed up. Then get your favorite mint floss and floss them off. I removed my side emblems because they were all crusted up. Get some bug and tar remover to get rid of the goo. It does look a lot better.

All you need is WD-40 and maybe some rubbing alcohol to take off the adhesive.

Lacquer Thinner!! Thats what we used at the chevy dealership I worked at in the detail shop. Works great. Why would you want to take off the emblem on the front? I can see the door badges to look different but I like the bird. Purely opinion I guess.
