ok i bought these 97 30th anniversary rims from a guy and thought they would fit right onto my 96 y87 equiped car. Well they fit onto the front but the back they didnt. The hole in the center of the rims have a lip inside that does not go over the axle cup thingy. The rears do not fit at all. Why would they be different size axles front/rear does anyone have any insight.. thanks

Hello
I got the same rims on my car off a 99 Z28 but they are silver.
They didnt fit on my 95 3.4 as well.
Want to knwo why they dont fit on our cars but they fit the guy's 2000 above?
Becouse we have rear drums!!! The "lip" WONT go over by like half of a millimiter. Take some light sand paper and go over it all around a few times. It will fit in a matter of seconds I know becosue I did mine 3 years ago.

PS> How much did you get the white rims for? I wish mine were white :(

I just got a set of 97 5 star Camaro rims with Goodyear GSA's (245/50ZR16) mounted on them. Tires are close to being worn out but theirs still some tread left. I got the rims on the car, however i didnt encounter any fit problems like you describe. But I have noticed the car likes to drift side to side while driving, it seems to be rather random...does it sometimes, fine other times. Would the cause being the rear rims not fitting on the drums properly? And if it is that, how do I go about fixing it? Do i sand down that lip on the wheel or what? I had a '95 camaro and had the same problem when i bought the five star z28 rims, my friends work at a discount tire and they used some kind of grinder to get rid of the little metal lip inside the wheel so they would fit\'96 red firebird M5
t-tops, fully loaded
New rear-end with disc brakes and 3:42\'s, foglights, 2001 firebird emblems, slp cai, high flow cat, mtx sub
