Where have you all mounted your neons? I have two 15" on my kick panels, but they are too high up for me and are a little annoying. Does anyone have pictures of where they are mounted exactly? Also, please specify the size used.

I'll take pics soon. I mounted the driver's seat one on the right going towards me away from me. Far up and to the right from the pedals. The other passenger's side one i stuck WAY back and up there so no one can kick it and that one is running horizontal. I got three more "that looks awesome/sweet/etc" today.

I quote Billy Madison - "it's da coolest"

BTW: SilverTA, copy and paste that link in a new window. :D

Try cutting and pasting the link. I mounted them up under the dash and then put a switch in the console it looked cool.

Got the link working last night. Didn't need the copy and paste, all of a sudden, it just worked. Blue Flame, how did you mount those neons on the kick panels? I thought of going horizontal there, but was afraid I would kick them with my feet if they were near the pedals.

They were just velcored up there but I would recommend a screw. As far as kicking them I would sometimes hit it when I wear my boots but I wear a size 13 1/2 and I would only hit it w/ my left foot when I let out on the clutch. It wasn't really a big problem. on the pass side no problem @ all.

i mounted my street glow 20" lightning tube (red) on the flap thing that seperates the trunk from the front. it looks good flashing w/ my sub, and is nice b/c i can have it just flashing in the trunk (folded up) or flashing in the back window (folded down). It looks sweet.

I'm new to this whole "neon" thing. And those setups look freakin' dope! I'm curious of where you guys are routing the power from, and also if you installed a switch for them, and if so where? Thanks! I think I'll prolly go with red neon, b/c the inside of my car is red!

did mine the easy/free(almost) way...use the cigarette ligher, buy an extender from advance auto parts, and hide the wire, just as good as a switch, but much easier and cheaper. my wire goes back between the two front seats, under the carpet on the passenger side of the back seat, up that side under the body panel, and out to the light. all in all, you can see maybe 3 inches of wire. You can buy a 3 in 1 adapter from Walmart. That way you can have two in the front and one in the back. But don't buy the neons from Walmart, they're horrible.

I concider myself an experieced neon person. the only thing i have in my bird is a lightning neon above my amp on the back of my box. I pull power from my remote turn-on on the amp. So that way it only comes on when my amp is, aka my car, and i dont have to switch something on and off. Sorry guys, but using your cigerette lighter is lame. there are so many places you can pull power from.

I sold most of my neons b/c Im poor!

Totally agree with Blackbird. Drill a hole through your firewall if you can't find it and throw wires through there and conceal them and connect em straight to your battery. I had my friend do all this - I have one switch for my strobes, one switch for my neons. Later on, I'm adding subs and we're going to add a three switch so I can kill EVERYTHING if a cop comes around. Good idea, huh? I'll take pictures today if my mom brings a camera home from her school.
