• Ton of appearance questions

Whats up guys, im a little new to the board anyway I got a lot of questions for you guys. I wanna do a lot to my car right now appearance wise, about the whole neon thing i'll probably order an outside kit with 4 tubes for like $90 on ebay. I'll probably get red since i got a red car, does anyone recommend any other alternatives that would look good on red?

I have a ram air hood with a black grille insert, is there anyone to get a chrome one? or should i just paint it with chrome spray paint?

Since I can't get white face gauges and my car isn't 97+ for the McEwen ones I wanna replace the white light with red lights inside how hard is this to do? And does anyone know the exact light I need?

I want to have red neon lights on the outside but on the inside I was thinking like blue or something? Do you think this would look alright or should I stay with red?

I want to get SS style white stripes on my car but I don't want to stop at the hood I want them to continue on the lip underneigh the foglights, and continue down the back of the car, does anyone know of any places that sell decals for these, or should i start masking off and get ready to paint it myself?

I already asked this topic but no one will reply, I have a custom ram air i built myself and I want a gauge that will tell me how much air flow is coming in from it so i can experiment with different methods of increasing the air flow? Anyone know how I can construct this?

And finally, I'm gonna buy a set of 12"s but I have no clue where i'd put them, I like how ProjectX did his speaker's in his car, I think he put them like on an angle from his seat with some kind of bar there? Does anyone know exactly how he did this?

    Sorry for all the questions,

    Thanks, Ted

Ok here goes, red will look good, don't spend 90, spend 170 and get some made for the outside of the car, I've been there and done that and my new ones are much better. Keep a common color theme, no idea on the flow, and for 12's get a box made to fit in the trunk part of the hatch, good luck dude.

I would recommend getting a streetglow kit. Go for the Gold Series set because they are brighter and have a better warrenty than the Blue Line kit. They seem to make the best quality neons. As to where to order them, don't order them from streetglow's site because they are overpriced (about double the price as other stores). Try national electronics or car discount stereos.

How about a green under-car kit? I just got a green under-car kit and I am going to install it tomorrow. Check out how this red firebird looks with green neons... look pretty nice to me:

#1 I like the red neons

#2 When painting anything on the exterior a couple of coats of clear always help. ;)

#3 I like all red, not a random mix of colors

#4 check into graphics places in your community to see if they can make a set to your liking, painting is such a permanent process, espicially if you don't like the results.

#5 don't know on the checking of flow meter, too much more brains than I got to spare.

#6 As everyone usually likes their system over othrs I'm the same way. I built a custom enclosure replacing those things called rear seats. The box holds (3) Jl audio 12w6's and meets flush on the bottom and sides of the car against the panels. It is covered in tan matching carpet and a recessed amp rack hiding in the top. It bolts to where the seats were removed from and has not moved .000000001 of an inch in any of my three recent accidents!!!!!! :D

Oh did I mention how loud, deep, and massaging it sounds? :D :D

EDIT: I'll try to get some pics of it up by Tuesday.
