  • paint dilema... what color?

I have a 97 black camaro, and I'm getting a new hood (stocker) this weekend, but it's white. The car's paint job isn't exactly flawless (far from it) so I'm going to get the whole thing painted. I just don't know what color. I really like the yellow/black scheme of viper's car, but so many people tell it that they don't like it, so I may not like it in person, either.

I thought about just getting a nice glossy black with a nice clear finish. I just torn between colors. Any input from anyone? I also thought about hugger orange, but I'm still not sure. Pics would be nice.

I LOVE the yellow/black Vipers... and it would probably look great on your car, too...

Orangish-redish metallic... I don't know how to describe it... I saw it on a Camaro once, and my niece's Gameboy SP is the color... I wanted mine like that when I first got it, but I decided I would get tired of a bright color.

I'm partial to sunset orange myself :D . But keep in mind, if you go with a different color than the stock color it'll cost you a boatload. the painter has to strip the car down and paint everything including the door jams and engine compartment. Unless you want to see a different color every time you open the doors or hood.

either SOM or Mystic Teal Metallic... people always ask me how much my custom paint job cost. People always think its blue in certain lights. Even a tiny bit of dark purple. I love the color. You may think the pourple is a bit much, but the color is very masculine.

I didn't think about the cost issue. I'm trying to stay as low as possible. I thought about white with hugger orange stripes, since it is the 30th anniv. edition, but I don't like white. I'm leaning towards just a nice deep, glossy black.
