  • shaving off the rear side marker.

Anyone know if its legal to do this?
I see that some cars out in the road does not have a rear side marker. And it doesnt really have any purpose to it. It doesnt act as a turn signal or anything. It just stays on all the time.
I think that less light looks better.

No, Bondo sucks. They are not durable at all.
What I'm thinking is make a plastic plate and put it in there and secure it in there with epoxy then put a fiberglass mat over it then fill it like half way with fiberglass resin filler. Then fill up the rest of it with 3M flexible plastic repair filler thing

Just take it to a bodyshop man, they'll shave whatever you want off your car for you.

I asked the guy that does my bodywork if he'd shave mine and he said because of the flex from where they are located he couldn't promise me that they wouldn't crack back out. He said if they didn't crack out they might just show a hairline(in otherword, show the rectangle outline of where the marker use to be) around them. So instead of shaving them I got clear sidemarkers and I'm very happy with those.

I was going to suggest you buy that spray on tint for turn signals and stuff and just black them out like that. I personally like the red ones on a black car. The yellow ones in front I hate however.
