is it possible to convert the analog a/c dials to a digital one? i've got a 98 cam

I'm sure it is, but it would take a lot of custom work. Post this in the electronics/stereo forum, you'd probably get some better replies there.

why would you change it to a digital a/c? seems like a waste of time? I don't know.

It would be cool if you could do it through a car-puter and that way you wouldnt have to worry about relocating the hvac controls to the glove box. How you would go about doing that I have no idea....

digital is so much more luxurious, jus seems nicer...besides have you seen a camaro with digital controls? i haven't...but corvettes got em so why can't i

I'm just guessing, but it's probably just wiring. It's all controlled within the unit itself, so it should just plug into the existing stuff. I'm not saying the wiring is necessarily the same, though.

no ones ever wanted digital hvac? really? you can't say it doesn't look nicer, and i know they are lower priced sports cars but it could at least be an option right?

Eh... I've always thought GM's digital controls looked just as cheap as knobs. I'd rather try to get some automatic controls in that will hold whatever temperature I set it at. Pulling one and customizing a mount would probably be enough work, then there's the wiring, because it'd probably be from a different manufacturer completely...

i'm jus curious, you never really know what you wanna do untill you know what you can do right? i'm jus trying to find ways to make my camaro different...i dont have any pics online as it isn't even finished yet,this car was bought stock with heavy front end damage and some rear quater and rear bumper damage. i have replaced both front and rear reinforcements/ front and rear bumpers/tailights/headlights/replaced stock spoiler with RS spoiler/hood(now has an SS hood, not,yet put on)/both fenders/pulled the bent frame 3 1/2 inches/repaired the rear quarter/c5 corvette wheels not yet put on...i definately will have pics when done, but i bought it as a project and when it is done the project will be sold, only to get another one...i love cams

If things go as planned, I'm going to keep mine and keep changing things as I go. When I get another car, I'll make this into an autocross and drag racer after rebuilding the engine and supercharging it. After that, I may turn it into a show car, then back into a bad-*** daily driver. Of course, that's just a plan... bad things could happen, or I may decide to spend more money on other projects. I don't plan to ever get rid of it, though.

i will definately keep the next one, i simply bought it to get started on cars, i still have my 1983 firebird that my dad bought me and taught me a little about cars on, but this is the first of my own...and the next one will be sweeter, faster, and will take even more blood and sweat to make it perfect, hopefully for my son one day...

well he bought it when i was born, and i later recieved it as a graduation gift, so i hope to keep the f-body tradition alive...my son is now one and i hope to find the next cam soon
