• painted interior pewter

today i painted the bezel around the cd player, and where the vents are, and i realized after I had them all done, that i shouldn't have painted the actual vents themselves because they are just rubbing off paint, if i take them out and soak them in laquer thinner or somthing, would it work? also, i couldn't figure out how to take them out, i thought of that before i painted but ohwell, did come out nice...

ok thanks kristen, do you know if the vents themselves pop out of the housing? I didn't want to force it and end up with broken parts.

the vents push in from the back of the dash panel. the gauge bezel ones are easy but i think you have to remove the entire dash to get to the ones above the stereo. I just painted some of the pieces in mine a nice green but decided to forgo the vents for now. too much work.

to clarify, the clips for the vents have to be accessed from the back of the dash. you can reinstall them by just pushing them through from the front.
