It's supposed to be typical on our year of firebirds...
If you have a new paint job it shouldn't be happening though.Sinister Six©
My \'95 Bird
I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.

they call it orange peeling because it's not smooth. prob because they didnt prep it good enough before they painted it.CaLi
-=|Sinister Six|=-
1999 Chevy Camaro Pewter
Have you ever wanted to know what happens
to a 3.8l v6 when you are doing 90mph in
2nd gear at 6000 rpm? pics to come soon...

I had similar problems with my 96 camaro after I had it painted. The paint wasn't peeling but all the clear coat bubbled up and started peeling off. You have to use special clear coat on f-bodies because of how much the body panels flex.2001 Firehawk #155 of 504 -M6
437 RWHP / 404 RWTQ -Dynojet (heads/cam)
12.34 @114 mph 1.7 60\' (bolt-ons only)
12.47 @116 mph 2.0 60\' (street tires, heads/cam)

Theres a lot of different terms for orange peeling that people use. Some people refer to it as the dirt in the clear where it doesn't look smooth completely, others refer to it as the clearcoat pealing off. All in all when people don't really know what it is they just call it orange peeling, lol. Anyway, you'd have to describe it a little better to me and i'd beable to help. Maybee even take some pictures. If I were you i'd either contact the insurance company and tell them that the bodyshop that did your work has flaws in their quality. Or I would just take it directly back to them first and tell them about it, if they don't fix the problem, then I would talk to the insurance company about it. Most insurance companies like statefarm won't let that kind of **** fly.
