If I mount 255/40/17 on the front and 255/45/17 on the back would there be a noticable diferance in the look of the car? also what would the ride be like? does any one have this setup? and what would I need to do to the speedo to keep it in check. I am mounting this tires on a 17X9.5 wheel.

on my 17s I have 45sidewall on the front and 50 on the back and it really fills in the gap better in the back. Unfortunatley I don't have any pics of it right now. It gives it that bigger tire look in the back though and I gotten a lot of compliments on how much better it looks.

i have 275/40/17's all around on my ss you could safely go 285/40/17 but def not 295/40 because i've heard of the tire coming off the rim if you go that big. if you want that big of a tire you have to go with a bigger rim. i would like to see pics of the thicker sidewalls Ted if you could get them thanks.1996 Chevy Camaro SS
#67 of 2,410 made that year with the slp package
Street Lethal Fbody Association Member
http://www.cars-on-line.com/97cam11475.html
