    i got sorta bored sitting around here recovering from surgery. in two days my engine bay went from this:

          today's additions were the fuse box cover and the top for the maft. the battery cover was yesterday. i still wanna try one for the master cylinder and maybe even the computer and the power steering.

                  sweet. you can go to scrap yards and pick up sheets of aluminum.. take it home, cut it how u want it and polish it up.

                      along with the ac condenser/?

                        yep. sandpaper up to 2000 grit and some mothers aluminum polish.

                            it takes a while to sand it up. a dremel helps on the alternator (the texture on it is pretty rough to begin with). just start with a low enough grit and work on smoothing it out. once you work it all the way up to 1500 or 2000 put the polish on it.

                              This gave me inspiration, I tried to pull off the condenser and oil started spraying a bit so i had to pighten it back up... When I went to take the alterntor off, my wratchet didnt have clearance between the bolt and my pulley... Did you take them off when you did them?? How did you get them off?
