Hahaha, yeah man, I hear ya there. I worked for $6.10 an hour to pay for mine. It's definitely worth it in the end though. :cool:
rims were $940 with chrome locks and labor (hammering fenders, 1/8" wheel spacers in rear) and tires were $1000 for all 4. normally the rear tires alone sell for $400-580 EACH (tirerack.com and 1010tires.com)! p-zero rossos, as i soon found out, are not cheap at all. After tax and tip, it came out to $2,300. But i got a GREAT deal on the rubber. i got them almost at cost because the owner of the wheel store is my buddy. he did profit on the rims themselves though. a very worthwile investment, i believe. Turns heads everywhere.

the standard vette rims are +79mm offset and i got 56mm rears and front. i hammered very little, about a 1/2" and only on the left side. No turning issues at all and my speedo is off by like 1 mph. no biggie. the cars gas mileage and performance dropped SEVERLY! i get 2 mpg less and probably lost a full second if not more in the 1/4 mile. But shes a cruiser now so its all good [img]smile.gif[/img]
gas here in sd is 3.05 , 3.15 and $3.25!
