  • Gotta spend a little time detailing my black 96 rs today

Still got a long way to go, but I spent about an hour today between the engine bay and a quick coat of wax. I used formula 113, but I think I would like to get some zaino here before to long. How much better will zaino look. Anyways, here are a few pictures of the 96 rs. The engine bay was pretty bad, so this is a big improvement over what it was, but like I said, still a long ways to go.

it looks like a regular v6 camaro, the RS has factory ground effects.

No the the factory ground effects are an option, even on the RS. At least thats how it is for my 97 RS.

                      Looks very clean...

As for Zaino... Its worth it, the shine I think will be a little better but not insanely but the advantage is the shine will stay alot longer, there are days I will rinse my car off with a hose, drive down the road and it will look like I did a wash and quick wax... if I wash it with Z7 it will look clean...

I reccomend getting the starter kit for $90 paln a whole day for the first coats of zaino then from then on every now and then put some more coats on...

The shine lasts forever with zaino, and the feel is unbelieveable smoother then glass... but the beauty is the more coats you put on the better...

www.installuniversity.com, and the zaino website have some good tips... and there is alot of info at the www.camaroz28.com messageboard in the "show and shine" section...

Zaino does wonders on dark colored cars... The link in my sig will have pics of my car the 2nd time I put zaino on it ever...

Looks nice and clean. Unfortuately, its not an RS though. The RS package which was available from 96-97 was a package that included Ground Effects and a 3 piece Spoiler, P235/55R16 Goodyear Eagle 16x8 Cast Aluminum Wheels, RS badges, and AC.

Many websites list our 96-97 cars and Camaro/RS meaning camaro -or- Camaro RS, which leads to the common miscomception.

Unless the badges, gfx, and spoiler were removed of course.......

Pretty sure it says on the title it is an rs. I will have to wait and see when the new title comes in.
