I'm wanting to remove the front gfx, side molding, and badging on my car. however, i know the double stick tape is a biatch to get off, did a search and found that a little bit of wd40 and a little elbow grease work, but is there something a little easier to get this stuff off? any help would be appreciated.
If you had an eraser wheel it would work really weel. It takes decals off and tape and stuff like that, pinstriping. If your interested I know snap on offers a rotary tool. Where you can attach a big rubber eraser wheel on it, or a wire wheel. It's pretty cool and what we use at our shop for that type of stuff.
I used rubbing alcohol, a hair dryer and my thumb.... Wound up with a blister but I got it all off quick. When you pull it off, make sure that you pull down not outward from the door. I found that this helps slide the tape off.

ok, i tried the rubbing alcohol and rubbing but no hair dryer. and it didn't work for sh!t, that stuff will not come off... does the hair dryer really help that much? and does anyone else have any other suggestions...
i just removed my side moldings last week, and all i used was rubbing alcohol and my thumb. and there is no residue what so ever. they do have 3mm remover at auto zone. there is also stuff called de-solv-it citrus cleaner, goo-gone, and some stuff called OOPS,
ok heres what i did, I didnt use any kinda of chemicle but what you do:
sit facing towards either the front or the back, line yourself up sideways to the car, dont face the door or anything, then get some of it off with your thumb, dont tear ot all off completely, just enought to get a grip. then slowly pull TOWARDS yourself, what happens is if your stretch it , the stuff gives and it just comes off nice and easy, make sure you continue trading off hands cuz if you pull on it and get too long of a peice it weakens and will tear. so just remember to stretch it, dont pull out or up. just get it like a 45 degree angle off the side of the door and stretch away from the direction the rest of it is going. hope that helps.. kinda hard to explain.
