OK, on a panel like the front bumper or rear berger (the plastic like stuff) should I wet sand or dry sand? I have 1000 and 2000 grit paper, should I start with 1000 then go to 2000?

What are you planning to do with it? Re-painting or just polishing it?

        what are you painting?

berger panel? If so might I suggest just buying a spare one. I know somoene who did one and it came out looking like *** but luckily he did it on a spare.

and if thats what you are doing.. I would just scruff it up slightly wiith a scotchbrite pad then paint over it.

I ended up starting with 600 then primered it, looks good so far . Thinking about sanding the primer with 1000 before the black but I'm not sure.

if your repainting you dont have to primer.

only wet sand everything. i would sand the primer with 1000 if you did primer it already. then paint it, clear it. if you want then wet sand the clear, with 2000, and then buff it.

definitely wetsand the primer. the better you wetsand the better it will look. then paint and clear it. you'll probably be happy with the finish without even wetsanding the clear. i wouldnt wetsand the clear with anything but 2000, cause you'll spend a lot of time buffing.

It's done, it's on (love that fast drying paint) but two things i notice upon install. 1) my already saggy looking bumper became a lot more noticable. 2) I made a clearance misjudgement when putting one of my tailights in and, lets just say i need to get some black touch up paint. Nothing major though. Still not sure if I like it much or not, have to get those silver inserts in first.

Check my sig for my black berger panel on my Silver Z28 pics.

I bought it black, but neighbor reshot it glossy black, it looks new and it really stands out. I love it.

Wow that is GLOSSY! Mines a flat black so it looks a bit different. Again, the inserts make all the difference don't they?
