Yes is does matter. 93-96 have a different gauge cluster than the 97-02. What year is your car again? You said it was a 97 correct? If its a 97, you have a digital odometer.

1. Yes, it was very easy.
2. 1.5 hours taking my time and going very slow, could be done in less than 45 mins
3. $40 shipped from an ebay store. (they are $50 shipped now though)

Umm, post a pic of that. 97's dont have analog odo's, only the 93-96's do.

I've never seen that beore. But I would say, yes, your analog display might not work with the reverse glow gauges. Only one way to find out though...

is ur car a salvage title? no wait that wouldnt matter...

um ur car is a 97...hmmm u must honestly have one of the VERY FIRST 97s to come out in late 96 cuz we all kno they switched to digitial then

but u know how sometimes car companies do that type of thing where they change little tiny details and dont tell anyone...shhhh

If you compare the two pictures above the one with the overlay and the one with tha analog gauge it looks like the cutout would still work allowing you to see the mileage.
