Do you like these rims?

I think these would look hot on a silver car like mine. I was between the gunmetal ones and the silver face with black inlet ones. heres the linke

So a few questions.

Of course do you think these will look good?

Is it better to have 17 x 8.5 or 17 x 9.5 ( i dont' know the difference or benefit)?

Then is there a way to clean up your rotors to keep them looking new and nice like i see everybody elses?

let me know guys please. I need opinions before I buy these.

Those rims will look great, I've always loved the darker rims, they look more like metal. Too many chrome rims that are on cars today are so poorly made that they look like plastic. If your rotors are rusted, you'll probably want to take them to a brake shop and have them turned on a lathe. This will machine away the rusted material and allow the shiny rotors to show through. There are solvents out there that you can use to keep the rotors clean and free of rust. NOTE: you don't want the rotors to have a mirror finish, a matte finish is the best. With the mirror finish it means that the rotors are very smooth and therefore have less stopping power.

Whats the difference between 8.5 and 9.5? is that a issue?

eh, theyre ok. id prefer something polished, or chrome, at least on the lip. but if you like them...

8.5 and 9.5 is the width of the rim. on the 9.5's you can fit tires as wide as 285/40/r17's.
wider tire typically equals better traction.

LOL I guess its really a line drawn down the middle with opinions on this. Was hoping people would sway me one direction or the other. Some say that chrome or a polished finish would be too flashy on a already silver car. Especially in the sunlight. Others say it would look good. Some say to use a black or gunmetal color to have some contrast to the car.

I've thought about the Black C5 rims with the polished face and black insides but I'm just not sure I like them as much. If you know of any other rims that might look good feel free to send me a link.. Thanks guys and gals.
