I need to clean up my wire loom, the stuff is out of control, going everywhere.

what this means is that i need a new kit, and i was thinking about getting this:

Ive seen the chrome stuff before, and it can look tacky if its not done right (im sure there are people who think blue looks tacky too), but in some cases it (chrome) looks really nice, and i think it would go nicely with the other polished pieces. If i wanted it to look good, i know id have to clean up those wires quite a bit. Im also going to probably hide that mess of wires on the passanger side with using the popular mod over at ls1tech.

How do you think the chrome would look? Should i get it, stick with blue, or go back to black. Black is nice and subtle, but it just doesnt grab any attention, and i think the chrome done right would look good without being too loud. I think ive outgrown the blue and it just doesnt go well with the rest of the car.

I never understood the blue, but it didn't look bad. You have a lot of chrome (well at least shiny polished pieces) under your hood already, too much chrome loom would look god awful. I think black would be just fine, or maybe even white.

    My order:
    1)Black
    2)White
    3)Chrome
    4)Blue
Black \'94 Trans Am A4- SLP CAI & Loudmouth<br />Red \'93 Firebird A4- Ram Air under the WS6 hood, !cat, exhaust.

I did the blue before i did much of anything else. My tastes are changing now and it just doesnt seem to fit anymore. I dont want blue accents on the outside of the car, thats for sure, so its time to change the scheme under the hood. I want something thats a little unique, so thats why i want chrome. White would be too hard to keep clean, even for me. :) Plus im just not a fan of white loom.

Yeah, i was thinking white would be incredibly hard to clean, esp. loom because of its weird shape. If you do go chrome, i wouldn't use nearly as much as the blue, only a little bit of it here and there. Too much chrome =

I just changed out my blue wire loom for black loom. The blue just didn't match any of my other stuff any longer. It made a nice difference in my car. I thought your car looked good with the blue. You could do a blue and chrome mix. I've even seen anodized blue. Keep us posted

i agree, i'd keep it to a minimum. id have to re route a lot of wires probably, and id like to hide the wires on the passanger side like i said, but i think that if i use it sparingly, it would look good.

I said black. I think anything else pulls the eyes away from all the hard work you put into polishing things. If you could hide some wires that would be great too.

heres flamedrs' car, a good example of what i'd like to do with the loom.

Re: Recommend a tubing color for me

i voted black, just cuz it is an easy color that always fits. but the blue looked good, red or any other color would look equally as good, just depends what you want.

i agree, dont go too crazy with the chrome though, maybe go with chrome on some of them, pick and choose however you like, and then black with the rest, the less chrome you use on the loom, the more the chomre you do use sticks out.
