I thought about getting HID in my car using round projectors from an Audi. But it would end up costing about $400 so I didn't do it. But installing them in the stock housing doesn't seem that bad. Did you just epoxy the bulbs in the stock housing or what?
I dont believe so. Ive taken our headlight assemblies apart before and in order to get the light to sit directly in place and not move around and everything is very hard. I dont know how he did it, but it works perfect.

HID's typically require projector lenses that have a cutoff line to prevent people from being blinded.
Mine dont have that, they are stock housings.
So you bought the HID retrofit kit from f-sane.com -- the one which costs roughly $300? The housings in the kit don't have projector lens with cutoff line? Also, was it easy to install or do you have to do any custom wiring? User Fspalt in another thread mentioned that you need to mount the ballasts etc and run power from the battery. I don't know what that means exactly.
Yes, the kit of from f-sane.com and the total cost was 270$. No the kit does not have a projector lense nor does it have a cutoff.
It was VERY easy to install. You get a wiring harness that comes with the kit. It has a +POS and -NEG, A Plug that goes from your stock headlight plug into the wiring harness. Then you have your ballast. These are the things that protect your lights from surging under power up. They have a plug that comes out of it and plugs from your wiring harness go into the ballast. Then the ballast itself has plugs that go into your now HID headlights.
hopefully this diagram will help you figure out what i said.
The lights are bright as hell, blue, but still bright. Just the way I wanted it. The LED's I got from a sponser over on LS1Tech. The rear dome light that was sent didnt work. It uses a diffrent kind of light I guess :-(.
The pictures dont do the lights justice. Yes I know the glare..the glare..blahh blahh blahh. Ill fix that in a few days. Next up is the 885 50W Xenon Foglights HID look. :engarde:
What sponser was it? I would love to know which one because LS1Tech has like 100 of them. Thanks!

yes, but you wont get the wirring harness which is needed because of the surge in powerup, you wont get the housings ect...

what surge are u talking about? the ballasts are ignitors, and as long as you've got them, then the wiring harness is just wiring.

read this thread. the wattage of HID's is actually lower than stock which are 80watts I believe HID's only run on 35watts however on powerup they surge to over 150watts. If you dont have thicker gauge wires to handle the power, you can possibly fry the wires and set the car on fire. Just like a stereo system.
