Man, tell me if this sounds right...(and I know it is not appearance question, but I'll get to that in a minute...) My car, which you may or may not have seen...has 72000 miles on it, and i brought it to a chevy dealership and it has a damn blown head gasket!!! so they are going to fix it, which is 1300 dollars, and they are going to tune it up, flush EVERYTHING and clean EVERYTHING that holds liquid, swap all plugs etc...etc...which is 600 bucks...but they are going to replace all pushrods and bearings which is a 4-500 dollar value, for free. they said because they have a little wear on them....and they are doing a number of other things...( re-aiming headlights, rerunning my streetglow wires...hiding them I guess...replacing a missing screw on my bodykit...) for free as well...my question is why would it blow a head gasket??? this is going to be a 2300 dollar repair!!! it sucks too, and the reason is that the previous owner never gave it a 60000 mile servicing. I bought it at 62000, and the dealership just reset everything and told me it was all serviced...bastards. has anyone else ever had this problem with the head gasket??? my motor is torn apart as I type this...but i did get a free rental car, pontiac g6 sedan with the 3500 v6...
and i want to do one last exterior appearance mod...an ss hood. I would feel guilty for just replacing a perfectly good hood...has anyone ever seen one of those ss hood scoops molded on? do they look good? i'd appreciate some feedback.
