Can you achieve a swirl-less finish?
I have found a 3000rpm unit and it is much cheaper than the Porter Cable unit.
I would think that with the same action I could achieve the same resaults, maybe at a slower rate. Any thoughts?

a lot of info here: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=263061

youve probably allready seen that, but just in case

    - Dont stay in one place too long
    - Don't use wool pads

i dont know how exactly it would compare to the porter cable. if used correctly, results would be comparable im sure. do you have a link to the exact unit you're looking at?
