I have the same shifter, the guy before me put it in and did a **** job, so the damn thing comes right off with no resistance and vibrates around when im driving, its a real pain in the ***. just make sure its not goin anywhere. i think it looks alright, i agree a boot would make it look better.

dam man you got your shifter and I still haven't got mine plus I ordered the matching e brake and still haven't got nothing this makes me mad cuz I think we both ordered them around the same time I hope it comes tommorrow but from looking at yours I will be taking the carbon fiber from around it to give it the chrome look and to my e brake whenever they come looks good though

Any suggestions on where and what kind to get? I'm leary of just buying one, in fear that it won't fit correctly.

Looks kinda like mine, cept I got the boot too, and it kinda matches the interior color of my car, and now the nitrous gauge is polished too!!

Definetly get a boot, like 8 bucks and takes a minute to put in...

it looks like paint except for the switch panel..that looks REALLY good!

All the trim peices are painted. I sanded them down a lot to get rid of the texture, primed to get the rest out, and painted them the same color as my car, and cleared them of course for shine. Planning on polishing that switch panel too, becaues i think it will look better.

As for the shift boot, i think i got it from ebay for like 8 bucks. The install was kinda wierd, caues all you do is kinda stuff the extra down, and hope it stays, and once in a while it will come up, but all you need to do is push it back down...I also taped some of it down too (requires you to take the console off)....but i like it better than those sliding things, cause i took those out too, cept for the one that is connected to the indicator thing that shows what gear your in.
