  • more than i bargained for...

i started replacing my bumper cover and fender today...
as i went along, i realised i had to remove more and more just to get the damn fender and bumper cover off...

now that thats all done, i didnt really take note of where all the screws and everything went

are there any walkthroughs for replacing these parts? also so i do it in the right order this time, because i noticed some things i took off did not come off easily (like something else needed to come off first)

    thanks for any help!

What car and what year? Autozone has all kinds of repair guides on thier site. Just choose you year and car and it will give you instruction on how to replace them. Example: http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...3d801cfe70.jsp

    Hope this helps.

i started putting the bumper on, and am having trouble making it line up correctly with the fender
will it take a while for the bumper to form into shape, i am hoping once it sits on the car for a while in the heat, it will mold better, but am unsure

ill have pics to help soon

That should not be hanging down that much. Are you taking it to the shop to have it painted? If you are then you could have the shop do a little adjusting to get it perfect. You did the hardest part already. Just have them fit it and paint it and you and you've saved alot of money.

Re: more than i bargained for...

i realized i put the bracket in wrong (i had it bracket, fender, bracket, bumper, where it should be bracket, fender, bumper, bracket)

now, the problem is still that it isnt lined up exactly perfect (hopefully it can be fixed when painted)
and, im having a terrible time getting the slash guard in, cause i can not see the hole to line it up correctly

for the last problem, i noticed that there is all kind of rust on the frame, and welds... after looking at the carfax i just got, the second owner owned the car for 20 days... wtf (but still has a clear title)

im guessing he wrecked it, and fixed it on his own

i think i am gonna finish fixin this thing up, and sell it... and look for a new car

this time, ill be inspecting it MUCH more thurough!

take a look at those pics if you could, just making sure that the brackets in the pics ARE in fact on wrong, and the correct order is bracket, fender, bumper, bracket ?
