  • what to do with plexiglass

Last week I bought plexiglass to make turn signal covers and fog lights covers for my firebird. I made them and had a lot left over so I made fog light covers for a camaro. But I still have all kinds of this stuff left over!
So my question is there anything anybody can think of that I can do with this stuff? There must be something neat I can do with it. Any ideas post'em up :)

    Custom sub box...?

    [edit]
Thinking about it a little longer gave me a better idea. How about customizing a hide-away sub where the spare tire is located? I actually bought another spare tire cover with the intentions of doing such a project, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I'll try to post pics of the camaro. All I did for the camaro fog lights was cut like a 3"X 3" square piece of plexiglass. Then I painted only one side black, which left the other side nice and shiney. Then it was time for the plexiglass to go into the car. It actually goes in front of the fog light and behind the bumper, if that makes any sense? You have to do it from under the hood. Make sure the shiney side is facing out and the painted side is facing the fog light. The fog light is what is holding the plexiglass in place; pushing it against the bumper. Its kind of difficult to get the plexiglass in front of the fog light where it needs to be. I ended up pushing the fog lights back just a little bit with my hands. The whole process from cutting, painting, and installation took me maybe 45 minutes. Like I said I'll try to post pics of it.
