My dash is cracked into to pieces and I'm gonna try and cover it with vinyl.
I figure I will cut out the de-frost area of the vinyl and glue vinyl beading around
the edge then spray the dash and back of the vinyl with Gorilla snot and lay it down. Has anyone done this? It's got to be cheaper then replacing that hard plastic piece.
If your glue doesn't turn out too good or it doesn't work at all, you could just replace it or get a dashmat. Not sure if they still offer a dashmat for our cars though...
I'm getting ready to redo my dash what is the vinyl beading product you used. Thats been my only problem tring to find a way to finish the area around the dash vent.
It's just a vinyl strip about 1/2" wide. It looks like a staple that is flat. Just folded it over pinching the textured vinyl between the haves and using contact cement.
