My firebird came without fog lights, and i've come across some factory fog lights for the car that include brackets. I've checked my bumper to make sure there are places for them to screw into and there are. What would be the best way to wire these things up? The most obvious thing i can think of is to just wire them right to the battery, install a switch in the cabin and run the wiring to the switch? Put an inline fuse somewhere in there too. Has anyone installed fog lamps in there 93-97 either?

Re: Installing Fog lights in 93-97 firebird
That's exactley how mine are installed. The previous owner did it and since I never use them/don't really trust the wiring I have undone them. Just remember if you straight wire them to a switch they will kill your battery if you leave them on (it's pretty easy to forget). I would ask everyone in the electronics forum if they know how to wire them up to a switch and the headlights. I've also heard you could fail VA inspection if they aren't wired so they turn off when your high beams come on.

Re: Installing Fog lights in 93-97 firebird
I had a custom auto shop wire mine in. I also bought a factory switch and cut a small hole below the light switch and installed it . There are allready wires for the switch in there, then they wired the lights to the switch. Looks and works just like it was factory done. cost a few hundred bucks but to me it was worth it , looks great97SILVERBID<br />Born to cruise
