i got some curb rash on one of my wheels the other day. i think it may be too deep for me to repair myself but i was just wondering if anyone knew the best, or any way for that matter, to repair curb rash? sand and polish? or should i just try to take it to a professional to if its fixable?

They aren't stock rims, check his cardomain site. I would take the car to a professional and get an estimate. Can't hurt to ask how much it would cost and then go from there. I was given an estimate of 150 to completely redo one of my stock 1994 z28 rims..so obviously I didn't get it done.Comment

I was able to repair curb rash on 3 of my 17"x10" Smoothie II's. Are the wheels you have clear coated or are they aluminum? If they are polished aluminum and not clear-coated/painted, you should be able to fix them. I was able to sand out the scuffs (one wheel was scuffed up bad) and polish them back up...you couldn't even tell.
