Actually when it is dark is when it is the easiest to see.

of course, much easier to see when its dark. think about it, its much easier to tell a car has its headlights on at night than during the day. your pupils let in much more light in dark enviroments.

i was nervous about the blackouts on my bird, but they seem fine, i think the firebird's tailights are so wide and bright that its easier to see then other cars.
