how do you guys get night shots?

i washed and waxed today so i thought it would be a nice oppourtunity to take it to the mall parking deck and take some sweet night shots (like shock_core's.)

but they came out like crap:

either too blurry/dark on my digi cam



or oversaturated and low quality on my cell



thoughts? perhaps its time to upgrade my hp photosmart 620. :<

my camera has a button on it for when im taking pics at night. they look pretty decent i guess

i agree, i like those rims better than any stock rims.... 35th ss rims mmmmm tastey.....

well looks like ur flash isnt working too well, but yeah most newer dig cams have a night setting... or a low light....

i tried to take the pictures with my flash on, but then the car comes out looking flat, and the lighting is just wrong because the flash doesnt seem to cover the whole shot.

i think its just time to look into a new camera. my friend said his has a night mode, so i'll check that out.

You need a longer exposure for night shoots. It also means that the camera needs to be held still longer. Which is why some of the shoots are blurry.
