  • max tire size on a 17x8 1/2

    hey all....i need some new tires...BADLY
    i have a set of 17' cragar ss wheels....i think they are 8' or 8 1/2' wide

    just wondering what the max size (width) tire i could fit on this wheel?

      I wouldn't put a 275mm wide tire on an 8.5" rim. Most tire manufacturers won't recommend that size either. How about a 255/45/17? Keeps pretty close to the stock 235/55/16 size. I don't think they make anything in 265 width in a low pro 17.

        im putting a set of Hp Evo Lighting 235/30/19 on the front and 275/30/19 on the rear. I'll be posting some pictures this wekend. right now i got 17x9 245/45/17

          At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
          Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
