Some 16 year old girl who just got her license just rear ended me on the highway. I doubt she even pressed the brake, it was at least a 30 mph collision when I was at a complete stop. Anyways, there are a few other dents that I found that the girl's stupid insurance company (Allstate) refuses to pay for because the claim that it was there before the accident. I wash my car like every week, and I think I would know if the dents were there. I got an estimate on the dents plus this huge key mark from a pesky elementery schooler and it turned out to be 2500+. That is more than the cost to repair the damages from the accident! I think the body shop is trying to get at least some money from me since I'm not paying anything for the accident. Can you recommend another quality body shop that will fix some the dents and stuff at a cheaper price?

well, the one that came from the accident but isnt being paid for by the insurance company is about the size of your palm, and the other one (both on the left quater panel) is exactly on the molding between the door and the rear wheel well. Its about the size of your foot.

I had a dent the size of the football on the back of my car. The cost was about $2500 for a high quality reputable job. Car looks brand new. I don't think the body shop is trying to rip you off.

          My $.02.

In all honesy, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a new one and replace it and put it on?

                  Re: dents

lol sure you didn't punch and kick your car after the wreck, lol just kidding... it will be expensive, and probably cheaper to get a new piece online or at a junkyard or something. they wil have to pull out the dent, and then sand the area down, weld, paint etc.... whatever to secure the whole area. I would guess two dents like you said about 1500 bux.

can you list some websites where I could possibly find a quarter panel?

                      Re: dents

Well if you had semi recent video footage of your car you could convince the insurance company. All you would have to do is just load it to your computer, and using some wizard program (i'm sure there are plenty out there), then doctor the time stamp to say the day before the accident. Hey presto irrefutable proof :D
