This is me and the 2009 concept Camaro at the 2006 Carlisle PA. 8th Annual Camaro Nationals. I'm a member of the American Camaro Assoc. and after our dinner Saturday night the guys from GM had three 4th Gen. pace cars escort it to the tent. All I can say is WOW, she is better looking close up.
Below is my car. Its metallic teal, but due to the weather the color is darker. She is a 1994 3.4L 5 speed with 80k miles on it.

I hate the new camaros that are coming out they are so ugly they look like luxury cars I will stick to my 98 camaro and keep modifying it and mine will look much better I wish they would have let this car sleep because they messed it up it really looks terrible I know some will disagree but we all like different stuff but this is just not a camaro to me
EVERYONE is raggin on the new concept! all ya'll gotta see the thing in person b4 you go makin opinions on it. i dont like the rims but other than that, the car is CLEAN. i saw it at the north american auto show in detroit, and i HATED it for the whole week i saw it in the newspapers but as soon as i saw it in person, i lightened up alot. theres something about it that just feels right.

Got to talk to David North, one of the chief design engineers for the Toronado and GTOs in the early 60s, he said that there will be a few changes to the new Camaro. So we'll have to wait and see. It wont have the 22" rear or 21" front wheels. The mirrors will probably be changed as well.
I like the new camaro, but something about the front end.. it just doesn't look right. The grill looks weird.
Am I the only one that thinks they are going too far trying to make it look "futuristic"? To me it almost looks fake. I understand what they're trying to do with the whole muscle car thing.. but it just looks.. weird.
Even in that real life photo with you standing near it, it looks like a computer render.. even though I know it is real. lol
its ugly and I don't mean that in a bad way but it just dosen't look sporty I feel like this if I want a chrysler 500 or a dodge charger then I would buy one and thats what its looking like this new camari is my motivation on bettering my 98 camaro its already clean but by the time that thing comes out it will be even better that car is just not a camaro to me and I know when they come out people are gonna buy them and try and show us up and I will be ready actually I am ready now
I think we all need to keep in mind that this is a concept, there will be several differences between what is in all the magazines and all the promos and carshows and everything. What actually gets produced won't look quite so futuristic, and out there. But will look more realistic and natural. I'm not trying to change any minds, because I know that's a lost cause and for good reason because everyone is entitled to their opinions, I just want everyone to keep an open-mind because I feel that GM keeps changing their design because they're looking for reactions as to what the public wants.

Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
