About the front grill letters

While I was looking at the FAQ for polishing yellow headlights on LS1tech, I saw a car signature by a guy named Carrot. It had a black billet grille, and it went beautiful with the car. My question is, can one fit the aluminum camaro inserts in the front and still be able to fit a billet grille over it? It would look pretty awesome.

you have to take the black grill off, and then put the inserts directly into the camaro letters that are on the car. i was thinking about doing that with mine.
