  • Got some TA today, checkthis out...

No, its not what you were thinking but the sensation is the same! :D

My dads friend is in the Air Force and went over seas to Italy, didnt want to sell his 2000 WS6 nor take it with him (roads in Italy are very small and drivers suck really bad!) so we stored it for him in our shed. He came to visit for a few days so we took it out today to run it a lil bit and take some pics. Check'em out. It only has 5,000 miles on it and even though its an A4, its still hella fun drive! The green vette is my dads 96 Grand Sport.

Nothing wrong with an A4, of course its still quick its an LS1. Automatic transmissions do not make that big of a difference at all in these cars. Looks good.

It still has the LT4 Grand Sport motor ;)

But you are right, it doesnt have the true paint scheme of a GS. :)

He chose not to take it? I think he'll regret that when he gets there and can't drive it wide open on the autostrade. Did someone tell him he couldn't take it or what?

yeah, the highways are fun to drive on in italy. i would always do the drive from milan to rome, and we could cruise at 105-110 without having any problems. but i wouldnt want to have it in any towns/cities. if hes air force, he is probably in aviano, which isnt near big cities really, lots of small towns, meaning no parking or anything for it...

nice bunch of cars though! they all look sexy.

You obviously have never had an LS1. There is a big difference in LS1's in an auto and a six speed. A six speed will usually run half a second quicker in the 1/4 mile and will dyno more.

Of course it will dyno more, its like that with any car. Autos have more parasitic loss on the travel back to the wheels. Half a second? Maybe. The biggest difference is trap speed. Autos trap lower (102-104mph) but get out of the hole faster, whereas manuals trap higher (as high as 106). I'm not an LS1 n00b

Hey I know this is supposed to be about the T/A...but I really like your white Camaro. I think your white headlight housings look amazing. My Camaro is white too and I'm thinking about doing them same to mine now. Just wondering how you sprayed it? Did you have to take off the whole front bumper cover and disassemle the headlights? Let me know please...looks too good to not do to my car.

Yeah he chose not to take it cuz he is only going to be there for 6 months and in Air War College the entire time and wouldnt have any time to drive it. He knew he could take it if he wanted too, just opted to keep it safe at our house I guess.

The headlight housing color is 50/50, some people love it, some people hate it. I didnt think I would like it at first but it grew on my really quick and I like it a lot.

I did have the bumper removed when I painted it though cuz it had damage on it so we sprayed it while it was off the car. You dont have to take it off to do it, but it will look much better cuz you wont have overspray problems past the headlights. If you have any questions about removing the bumper let me know, but it was very easy to do.
