    Re: Gauges question

Are you just doing inlays or a whole new gauge cluster? If you are doing inlays I got mine on eBay for only $30 and they look awesome.

If you are replacing the whole cluster, if I remember correctly, someone did that and claimed it worked just fine even though the tach and speedo were different. I wont swear to that, but it may work just fine.

I know it's offtopic, but where'd you get those gauges Shodown? I've ben trying to find some 120mph gauges for my car. The ones I find have the oil pressure, gas, temp, and voltage in different places.

I did the swap in my 95 Camaro with a cluster from a 93 or 94 Z28. The tach is off a little but I have an A4 so it isn't really a problem. You can change the resister to fix that. Do a search about this, I remember this topic befor, and some didn't have any problems at all. I guess it all depends on the years you do the swap from and to, or they just didn't notice a change.

Dude you should have painted the black part of the needles when you had them off.

You are not supposed to take the needles off. The inlays just fit right over them.

These are similar to mine, but not the exact same:

Must be different for the different years. There was no way I could have gotten that over the base of the needles.
