I decided on a seat delete for my 98 camaro and I am gonna do this myself I don't wanna use heavy wood I was told I could use hardened cardboard. I have had my backseats out for about 1 year now and I hate how it looks. Does anyone have pictures of their setup I would like too see them and any suggestions on where to buy the materials and what materials I need would be heplful also. I know that I need carpet to make it look good but my carpet inside my car is gray should I stick with gray or make the seat delete black. Im open to all suggestions but putting my back seats back in is out of the question because I threw them away

Try using periods. I've heard those work wonders... plus aviod giving other people headaches. ;)

                  Re: back seat delete

First of all why would you throw the back seats away?? Unless they were totally trashed, why not keep them or sell em? Owell...

Anyways, i don't think you should use cardboard, it would be very weak. Even if you layered it, there would be limits as far as what you could rest on it if you ever had to put anything in your car. My suggestion would be to use 1/4" plywood and just carpet it grey to match your interior. That way, it's cheap, light, and sturdy.

ok the expert is here. i made a few of these. all it is is plywood, and screws. i took cardboard and make a big outline for the wood. and cut the wood till it fit perfect. i also make it so the top has a hatch to store stuff on one side and the other side is my nitrous bottle. i got the carpet here. http://www.stockinteriors.com/flatca...d=5&ModelId=71 you buy the carpet by the yard. make sure to get 2 cause you will need it. it will come together not cut so you can make it perfect. just use a staple gun to put the carpet on. this site is also good cause they will send you out sample pieces so you can make sure that you get the right color. have fun.
