Whats the best way to prevent rust? I've heard of anti-rust chemicals
out there. But I've heard wd-40 or paint will work fine?
thanks

Where are you trying to prevent rust? A painted / well maintained surface is probably your best bet.

they do make stuff to stop and seal rust and they also make stuff to prep a surface to prevent rust then spray should work.

Depends on the where the surface is.

exterior body panels or visible areas - Primer and Paint
rocker panels - Primer Paint and rockguard
wheel wells and underbody - under coating
interior panels or between panels - Spray on Corrosion inhibitor like LPS.
Now Playing: \'99 Pewter Firebird, stock, bone stock, and nothing but stock, so help me God!
Comming attractions: K&N Filter, Lid Mod, Intake Bellows Smooth Pipe Mod.
I dream about: Forced Induction (TC or SC) or NOX (or both!)

yes, typically a primered and painted surface is all you need.

The bar in back of the t tops -----about 5 inches wide from one side to the other has a design flaw (2000 camaro) and bubbles of rust appear.
This is an example of GM just not giving a ****...they new this would happen...they could have spent 50 cents to spray that area inside to prevent the rust but GM has a philosophy of "how can we save costs, the customer be damned"
