  • Hmmm... grill?

Alright, so I just washed and waxed my car, and I was just looking at the pictures and how shiny it looks..lol

I was thinking maybe a billet grill would look good.

I am already getting either C5 or C6 rims (haven't decided on chrome, polished, machined, painted... etc yet), and maybe clear corners, then eventually lower it an inch or so.

But I don't have that much money right now, as i'm 16, and I figured if I was going to get anything, this is probably the cheapest thing I can get to start off with.

Would a billet grill look good with my car? Black or silver? I just hate that front plastic grill. I think it makes the car look too cheap or something.. I am not a fan of plastic on the ext. of cars.

I was also thinking of getting vinyl inserts for the back "CAMARO", but not sure on the color.

The next couple show the overall color of the car:

Would any of the above look good with my car?

        You need clear corners!

Edit: and I think you should get silver inserts + silver "3800" decals.

I think you should get clears and a billet grille to start with. I got all the clear corner clear running lights (rear) and the billet grille for like 128 total on ebay and havent had a problem with any of them. Just get the grille that screws i think that would clean your car up nice. I always like silver on dark color so i would go with silver inserts.

              Like this right?

              http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02...ayphotohosting

It was used for a show car for one show or whatever.

But yeah, I can find the grills no problem.

But these "clear corners".. I know exactly what they are, but I can't find any. What are their real names? Like the back ones are running lights.

i agree...with one minor exception. a regular silver billet grille would distract a little, but a black one would look great! i think there are some people on theis board with a black one and it adds a very subtle but effective touch imo. i say go with black if you get a billet grille and i would go with gunmetal wheels

                    Re: Hmmm... grill?

Since I already have a thread up, i'll just post it here.

I noticed that my headlights are very off balanced. When going down the road, the right one is aimed too high (like I can see stop signs and other signs really far away), and the other light is aimed too low (like it doesn't go further than maybe 20ft from the car).

Is there a way I can "aim" them into the right direction? That little black metal circle thing (I don't know what it's called, sorry) around the bulb, is that what I use to aim them? How do you get to that?

                        Re: Hmmm... grill?

I found my clear corners by searching for corner marker headlamps on google, but that was a while ago, and I can't remember where I got mine, but it wasn't from a custom-oriented website it was from one of those simple replacement parts websites. As far as a grill is concerned, I'm not sure how well a black grill would look on your car, maybe a silver grill, but not quite as shiny as most, something a little more subtle, like actual silver instead of chrome that you see on most cars. my $.02

hey man love the ghost flames, i think a painted grill like rk sport would look the best on your car, like kristen said, if you throw billet in the mix, people are gonna be memorized by shinny things instead of your nice ghost flames. just my 2 cents, but looks good man!!!
