    Re: Installing Halos

ugh I made a big boo boo..

I tried wiring the halos into my signal light connectors. The one i mentioned before with the G, A, and B letters on them.

Well I moved the wires around trying different combinations of the two halo wires with the three available wires on the connector.

Nothing worked so I spliced the originals back together and the light still works okay.

But NOW my dash lights(gauge display) does not light up at night.

    hate this stuff...

    advice please

      Re: Installing Halos

Yes, I do have true 8000K HIDs. A cheap eBay kit that i got for $67 shipped. No problems at all yet. The halogen low bulb that comes with the dual halos is pathetic. Horrible night visibility. I got HIDs within 2 weeks or so, and it is a vast improvement. I would really recommend this upgrade to anyone. They are very bright and are not too blue. PS. I also got my projectors, corners, and side markers as a package on ebay for about $260 shipped, so total cost for everything is around $330. In my opinion, it is well worth it....I love the look of the halos, I get looks all the time, and the night time visibility is greatly increased. I am planning on getting HIDs for the fogs to make everything match, but I just havent had time.

Here are some pics I just took...the dirtiest my car has ever been. Sorry for the poor quality, didnt want to go out in the cold and move the car.

      Just halos

lol, looks like mine now. Hey yeah about those fog lights.. I don't even care if they're HIDs I just want a slight blue tint to them rather than the yellow. I haven't really looked around but do you have any idea where to get something like that?

EDIT: I think my membership expired.. hmm it woulda been there in the signature that I don't have anymore.

Yes, mine looks just like yours now....besides the turbo that yours may or not have!

I found this kit on eBay. It is cheaper than the one I got, but it seems like it might be worth the $45. Plus it has a 1 year warranty.

I have had some hyper white bulbs in the fogs for the past 4 years or so, and they were pretty much no difference from the stock bulbs. If you want very slight blue, go with 6000K...my 8000K are fairly blue, but it doesn't seem to hinder the light output. It is exactly the color that I was looking for, and it matches the halos fairly well.

are the ccfl dual halos really bright? I see some people who have dim ones and some who have bright ones? I am confused as to how bright they really are.

The actual halos are bright, but do not throw that much light. The LEDs are what really throw a lot of light, but as you can see, I have disabled them. As a reference, the halos are still fairly visable in direct sunlight.
