    I am talking about these
    http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=10509

I really like the idea of getting a tan aftermarket seat but I worry about mounting them properly in the car.

I'm hoping someone out there has experience with these seats, they have a "universal" bracket for it but with our oddly shaped floors I don't know if they will work without serious modification.

My driver seat has lost most of it's support in the lower back and butt sections.

I have also been looking at getting my hands on some leather ones from a T/A or a firebird that had leather seats but they seem to be pretty tough to catch on ebay at a decent price, I have missed several sets due to not being able to camp out at my computer when the auction is nearing it's end.

I don't know, it's possible, I do know that both summit and jegs have the same seat and each uses their own name so I don't know who makes them.

here is the link from summit's site

tan leather sparco seats are $1650 EACH! and that doesn't even include a mounting bracket.

Re: anyone have or seen the Jeg's seats in an f-body

the seats are good quality. my friend has one in his trans am.

the problem is theyre slightly larger than the stock seats, so they pretty much fill the horizontal area.

and, jegs doesnt sell a bracket that works, so dont waste your money.

you can either bolt your stock bracket to it, which is what my friend did, or buy custom brackets that this guy makes that i cant find a link to.

the problem with using your stock bracket is that the seat sits higher, so its kinda disorienting.

ill see if i can get pictures of my friend's and a link to the custom ones.

pictures would be awesome, and any link to some custom brackets to try to keep the seat close to stock height would be great too.
I'm a little confused what you mean by "they fill in the horizontal area"

              thanks!!!

by fill the horizontal area, i meant the width :o. the space between the center console and the door.

                  awesome

I gotta say they also look better in those pics than they do on jeg's site.

if you could hook me up with that link to brackets that work I'd be much appreciative!

thanks for getting me the pics, I think you may have made my mind up for me. If I ever make it up to NJ I owe ya a beer!

Re: anyone have or seen the Jeg's seats in an f-body

hm. i cant find the ones i had found when i was looking for my friend. no clue at all.

                    but summit sells these:
                    http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

                    which will most likely work.

you may have to drill your own holes in the seat or bracket, but we had to do that for the stock bracket anyway, and it works fine.

i just realized those dont look like theyre adjustable. :(

                    ill keep lookin

well I'm going to look at the stock seat brackets sometime in the next couple of weekends and go from there. I mean either way I have a seat and if need be I can mock up someting with cardboard and take measurements, surely I can find somebody in dallas to fab up some custom brackets that won't cost an arm and a leg.
thanks again for all your help!

I'm using the search button I awoke this thread.
I'm looking at these seats and I was just wondering, How much higher do you sit in the car? One inch or two I don't think would be to bad. My drivers seat padding is shot. It's like sitting in a seat frame without the padding!

                        Thanks, For any info.

I've been thinking of doing seats for awhile, but couldn't find one's that I liked enough to change them out ... that may have changed :)
