I'm actually thinking of buying an old hood and doing this myself. I have the equipment to bodyfill it on and then paint it, and it'll be good practice for me.
its very easy long as you have the right tools and I only paid 85 dollars for the ss hood scoop brand new so add another 100 to 150 for installation thats barely 200 instead od paying 300 to 400 for the hood plus high *** shipping its better this way for me
By the time you make this hood scoop work on your hood with all the time, money and effort you will spend, you'll probably tell yourself that you should have gotten an SS hood. It will save you the aggravation and be one piece. You are running the risk of damaging your stock hood. An aftermarket hood is enough of a pain to prep, prime and paint, along with fitment and adjustments without adding another factor to it. Just take your time with it and do it right (if there's such a thing). Good luck. I hope it works out and looks great for ya.
