I am tired of looking at my ss hood scoop and now I am ready to get it installed does anyone know how much will I be looking to pay to get it looking right and installed. I know everyone is gonna say buy an real ss hood but I already have the scoop so thats out of the question its pretty big and looks good and it fits perfect. I am trying to see how should I get it installed by like cutting a hole into my stock hood or some say get it molded on but I don't know what that means any help is good

Then comes the bodywork. Bondo will probably be best for a beginner, but if you know how to fiberglass, that'll be much stronger.
In order to be FUNCTIONAL, you'd have to cut a hole in the hood. But that's a road I don't think you should take!sigpic

Re: ss hood scoop
I'm not sure that I would trust any bonding attempts in the long run. Eventually, you might see stress cracks or separation issues from heat. I know you spoke of already having the scoop, but I'd sell it and put that money towards the right hood.1996 Camaro. \"RedKnight\" on MOFBA.org.

Re: ss hood scoop
Just to share this, about 15 years ago I ordered a cowl induction scoop for my black 75 camaro from jcwhittney. It was the add on scoop, not the hood, anyways, it coms by U.P.S., I'm home drunk off my ***, so I grabbed some Elmers glue & some spackle. Woke up the next morning, O.M.G. What did I do?? Please dont buy the add on scoops usless you have a pro to lay it & spray it for you.:spank:Left turn Clide.
