Re: Tint Pictures
I too have 5% and I hate it at night, you can not see a thing out of it. and now that I have my gauge pod staring at me forget about it. Plan on rolling down your windows to do any kind of backing up or turning at night.

Re: Tint Pictures
Alright thanks. Im thinking about some kind of tint, because my brother works at a shop, and the shop behind them will do it for about $125, which is a really good deal, right? Plus Im looking for an improved look for my ride.
** 99 Camaro RS, thanks for the pics, it looks great

Re: Tint Pictures
I should be getting my rear window tinted this coming Thursday. I'll probably go as dark as legally possible in my area. Anything to protect my interior better. My red towels that I throw over the back seat turn "pink" in a hurry. I can't have that!! LOL!1996 Camaro. \"RedKnight\" on MOFBA.org.

Re: Tint Pictures
I had this question also before I got my tint. I got 20% all around, and let me tell you -- it is really dark enough. Alot of people who recommended it told me it was just the right level, and I think they were right. It's plenty dark, and at night you can still see out OK. I like darker tints over lighter ones, and I would not go any lower than 20%. I would also recommend getting the same shade all the way around for uniformity. This stuff about 5% being difficult to see out of at night, that's just too much of a compromise on safety for me. Go for 20, its the best balance between safety and looks.

i have 5% all the way around, and ive noticed ive picked up the habit of not even looking back when i back up, i mean, theres no point, you cant see **** out of the back windshield, or rear view mirrors when my windows are up for that matter. ha, riiight. its not that bad if you hold your break slightly that way your brake lights come on to light up the back area. might take a couple hours of nighttime driving to get used to, but no biggie.
but i have no regrets. i love the fact that people cant see in my car day or night. plus its kinda hard to "creep" through the "hood" at night if people can see in your car.Last edited by 99 RS Camaro; 07-23-2006, 11:05 PM.\"there are things known, and things unknown, and inbetween are the doors\"-jim morrison

http://www.cardomain.com/id/99NBMCamaro
